***You must be a high school sophomore, junior or senior (or equivilant age) to apply.***

Please do the following in order to apply for the YouthBoard of YouthRoots: (takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to do):

1.First, you must register to apply. So anytime starting now until Oct 11, let us know that you are going to apply (or thinking really hard about applying).

After registering, you can either fill out the application online or go the old school route. Either way, have it completed and in our posession by 7pm on October 11th.

OLD SCHOOL:

3. Attach a resume.

4. Include two YouthRoots letters of recommendation. (You can print two recommendation forms, hand them out to mentors/teachers/counselors, and either get it back from them in a sealed and signed envelope OR they can email me directly or snail mail it to me.

*Hint: download the YouthRoots Logic Model and give it to the people who are going to write a recommendation for you.

5. Make sure you can attend at least 85% of the meetings (that means you can only miss two - or else we have to ask you to leave).

Here are the dates of the program.

Compile all the components, sign the bottom of the application form and send everything to YouthRoots, 1127 Sherman St, Denver, CO 80203 so that is in our office no later than 7pm October 11th, 2011.

Again, if you don't have enough time to get the recommendation letters back, they can scan and email it to me (lacey@youth-roots.org) or mail it in.

You can also scan and email your entire application to me at lacey@youth-roots.org. (I know, I know, I'm so generous!!!)

Incidentally, we also accept love letters - not hate mail though.
