(From WeRepair.org) more >>Grant Winners Announced!We had over 75 nonprofit organizations apply for a financial grant this year! Denver is so lucky to have these amazing organizations who help thousands of children and youth every year. This year, the YouthBoard spent over 160 hours vetting the organizations (that's as much as having one full-time employee work for over a month!) Our program explained
Our Program
Our program is designed to do what the root of the word means: to love humankind while realizing your full human potential. The program's unique design uses philanthropy (charitable giving) as the experiential classroom to teach 15 teens how to change the world. This model incorporates all the tools and mindsets necessary to inact change in our World. This involves various personality, communication and teamwork assessments. On the philanthropy side of things, they will conduct a needs assessment of their community to determine the top three funding priorities. Once they finish fundraising for the three issues, the youth will get the chance to practice their new found skills. They will have to lead, problem-solve, engage the team and decide where the money raised should go.
