Denver is so lucky to have these amazing organizations who help thousands of children and youth every year. This year, the YouthBoard spent over 160 hours vetting the organizations (that's as much as having one full-time employee work for over a month!) Want to be a YouthRoots Help teenagers involved in YouthRoots create social change by listening, learning, and leading! Social Change Partner’s take 20 minutes out of their day to listen to a fundraising pitch given by two teenaged YouthRoots’ members. The money they raise will go to vetted nonprofits that are combating the most serious issues facing our community’s children today. YouthRoots’ members learn and improve their leadership style, communication tools and group dynamics through a unique curriculum and the philanthropic process. They conduct a community needs assessment, fundraise for the most urgent issues (that’s where you come in) and grant away 100% of the money they raise to deserving and vetted nonprofits that combat those issues. You have a chance to meet exceptional high school students, learn about the issues our community is facing, and make a multiplying donation that affects the lives of thousands of children. Not only does your donation allow the students in YouthRoots to learn about philanthropy, that money then goes straight into the hands of children who need it most - through the nonprofits that are doing the best at meeting those needs! You aren’t guaranteeing a donation if you sign up as a Social Change Partner, you are just guaranteeing that you will listen and be courteous. Make Change Take Root
